LAUTECH LOST A 300L STUDENT FROM THE DEPT OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING
Yesterday 23rd of October, a male student of the department of chemical engineering in 300level named Adieu Kunle Babalola, popularly called Bablo
left this world. It was reported that his death came as a result of he being a Sickle Cell patient.. He stays at Sharon hostel. We pray this kind of bad news won't be heard again in Lautech. About 17 people have been confirmed dead and 73 others injured after a bomb ripped through a mosque in Jambutu area in Yola, Adamawa state this afternoon. Many of the Muslim faithfuls were leaving the mosque just after their Friday prayers when the incident happened. This blast comes hours after a similar incident occurred at a mosque in Maiduguri killing 28 people. Most of the injured are in critical condition and have been moved to the federal medical centre, Yola. The state governor has called for blood donation for the injured.

- Croatia defeat Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets to qualify for
the knockout stages of a FIFA U-17 tournament for
the first time in their history.
Though Victor Oshiemen’s first half goal (his fourth
in the tournament) looked like giving Nigeria a
routine win, Croatia fought back in the second with
two early goals in a match they were really in
control of.
