Nigeria Football Federation technical and development committee vice chairman, Ahmed Yusuf Fresh said there was no basis for the federation to hire a foreign coach for the Super Eagles.

Fresh said in Abuja that the NFF has not received any application for the job of the senior national team as being speculated, stating that for the moment there was no vacancy.
“We cannot be talking of employing a foreign coach when there is no vacancy for a job.
“We didn’t receive any application and there’s nothing like hiring a foreign manager for Eagles on the table for now. It is all lies that we are receiving applications for the Eagles job, “ he said.
Meanwhile run away coach Sunday Oliseh revealed that he has asked his lawyers to stop a suit he filed against the NFF claiming damages after he resigned unceremoniously from the national team.
“I have instructed my lawyers to withdraw the lawsuit against the Nigerian Football Federation, after speaking with many Nigerians whom I respect a lot,” Oliseh said in a video message posted on his personal website.
